This Policy Statement sets out the Smoke Free policy for Bath Canoe Club as a result of an agreement to adopt the initiative from Bath and North East Somerset Council and Sirona Health Care. In return for adopting the policy the club was awarded a grant in 2016. The aim is to provide a good role model for juniors and a healthier environment for all. 

 Timing

This policy is effective from 1 March 2017 until further notice.

 Smoke Free Area

 Bath Canoe Club requires the entire area of the club’s premises, both inside and outside to be smoke free.

The smoke free status of Bath Canoe Club grounds will be clearly signed at the entrance and within the club grounds.

In addition, when the club is off-premises with junior members present it will strive to ensure a smoke free environment is maintained to the benefit of our juniors.
