[Update 5 Mar 26] Studland has an onshore wind and the swell forecast is in the region of 1m.  Lyme Regis, however, is very tame at 0.1m, i.e. calm!  The wind is dropping from 7mph to 5 mph which is very gentle.  The westerly tide starts at 13:17 so heading east in the morning and returning in the afternoon will have the slight tidal current with us both ways.  It's low water at 14:27 so hopefully there will be more sand exposed on the beaches for lunch landing.

Let's meet at 09:30 at Monmouth Beach Car Park at Lyme Regis.  The Launch site is just to west of the Cobb on Monmouth Beach.  There is a small car park and a carry through the beach huts, over the shingle to the waters edge.  The Monmouth Beach car park is at grid SY336915, DT7 3JN,  W3W ///Templates.mammals.bloomers.  It is possible that we can take the boats through to the harbour or beach beyond and for this trolleys are useful.  Trolleys are useless over the shingle at Monmouth Beach.

This is the first of a few Studland trips and is ideal for those wishing an easy first trip of the year.

Let's meet at 09:30 at Knoll Beach as usual.  Knoll Beach National Trust car park is just south of the cafĂ© by the beach huts: BH19 3AQ, w3w ///slurred.sensual.afflicted,  OS Grid Ref: SZ 033 835.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the leader and the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

If you want to know more about how trips are conducted see trip routine.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you don't have your own.  Choose the boat most suited to you and then write the booking on the white board in the club basement store.
