The plan is to launch from Hele Bay and paddle west towards Bull Pt and Morte Point and back. There will be a spring tide and few get-outs. This is classed as an Intermediate grade trip.
[10Mar25] Weather is good but the morning starts cold (10C rising to 50C inc windchill). The brisk ENE wind and spring ebb tide in the morning will make life easy. The flood tide starts at 12:30 and with wind over tide the choppy sea will become hard work.
Meet at 09:30. The small sandy beach has a reasonable drop-off point at the beach entrance and there is a car park at EX34 9QY, grid SS 535 477, w3w chicken.backyards.invisible.
You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
