It's good to blow the festive smoke out of our lungs and have an easy paddle over the quiet period before NY. The tide shows a southerly stream most of the day and so that suggests it would be good to launch from Swanage and paddle up to Studland with the benefit that we know the cafe will be open for lunch. The alternative will be to launch from Studland poke our noses around Old Harry but always being mindful of the southerly tide on the return. Clearly conditions will dictate which option I go for nearer the date.
This trip is open to Improver class paddlers but be certain that you have appropriate clothing, i.e. dry suit with warm clothing beneath.
Due to the restricted daylight we will need to be on the water before 10:30 and so I suggest meeting at 09:30.
Assuming a Swanage launch, we launch from Monkey Beach at Swanage, BH19 2FA, W3W ///struts.rebel.able, OS grid SZ033 786. There is short term road-side parking at this point sufficient to offload but full day parking is just up the hill a short way.
