The coast west of Lee Bay is rugged and exposed, especially at Morte Point and it's a great trip, provided the conditions allow. LW at Ilfracombe is 11:40 but slack water is normally afterwards, at about 12:30.
Let's meet at 09:30 and aim to be on the water very soon after 10:00. There is a small free car park at EX34 8LR, OS grid SS 480 464, w3w ///nosedive.soft.table. It can be a long carry when the tide is out so rugged trolleys are worthwhile. There are no cafes in the area so be prepared to be self reliant for sustance both off and on the water.
