[Update 9 Oct 24] The weather forecast looks ideal for a great day on the water, very light winds and barely any swell. I was paddling at Studland today without a dry suit but wearing a short sleeved cag and was warm enough when the sun was out. So minimum is good base layer, perhaps 2, then cag on top.
This is intended to be an easy Improver standard paddle, so very gentle. The aim is only to go from Studland, round Old Harry Rocks and then land at Swanage for lunch. I'm hoping that the water will still be warmish and the weather kind so that those without drysuits can still join, but this may be pushing my luck for mid-Oct.
The usual 09:30 meet to beat the crowds of sunbathers. We meet at Knoll Beach National Trust car park, just south of the café by the beach huts: BH19 3AQ, w3w ///slurred.sensual.afflicted, OS Grid Ref: SZ 033 835.
