Introduction to canoeing - this is a short course open to all in the club and will run on two consecutive Thursday evenings - 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm. Free to members.
The course is open to all ages 14 years and over but under 18s must be accompanied on the course by a parent or guardian.
Much of the time spent on the water in the courses is in a kayak (and the occasional coracle), so it is time to readdress the balance!! You don’t need any previous experience, just the desire for fun and (even if only temporarily) to leave that spray deck behind.
As with all our courses you will learn practical skills for a fun and safe time on the water, and become a more skilled and independent paddler. You will learn how to choose and effectively use equipment and develop an understanding of the factors which affect your paddling.
For the river sessions you will be expected to arrive at the clubhouse by 6.00pm in order to be on the water for 6.30pm. We will be off the water by about 8.30/9pm.
