We don't go to Seaton that often but it can be a pleasant paddle up the ancient coast. This stretch of coast is very vulnerable to winds with a southerly component which brings surf and awkward landing conditions, but that said there are some nice days in the summer so let's remain hopeful.
The tidal currents are not strong in these parts and we could expect 0.6 knt easterly flowing tide in the morning and 0.8 knt westerly in the afternoon. So the plan will be to head east to Lyme Regis where there is sheltered landing.
Let's meet on the sea front at 09:30 and aim for launch by 10:30. There is a low wall along the esplanade (EX12 2XN) where there is expensive parking but it is possible to offload, lift boats over the low wall and then find other parking opportunities. You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the leader and the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you don't have your own. Choose the boat most suited to you and then write the booking on the white board in the club basement store.
