Gentle River Thames Cruise-Along A Flatwater Trip

The aim will be to launch at Reading and paddle along the Thames to Henley going through locks on the way.

This trip is aimed at paddlers who have completed their Paddlepower Discover or above.  Families are welcome.  Kayaks, SUPs, SOTs and canoes welcome.  A good day trip along a great river. Distance is approx 7  miles downstream with the flow and there are 2 locks. We start at Marsport Canoe Shop, Dreadnought Reach Postcode RG6 1PQ Grid Ref SU 735739 and we finish at Marsh Lock near Henley Postcode RG9 4HB Grid ref SU 772817

Under Covid-19 guidance no car sharing so the shuttle will be organised beforehand.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable experience ratio amongst participants. If it's full, contact the trip leader to see whether any more places can be made available.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.
