We'll aim for something G3ish and decide based on river levels and group's ability/size. Open to suggestions for rivers. Meet at the club to leave by 07.30ish - as we have less daylight and we like to have a 50% safety margin on the water. Or meet 10:00ish at get in (when we know where it is!)
On average it's about a 2:15 drive. Often with longer shuttles run on a very narrow tractor filled roads. We probably won't be home much before 19:00.
Please register if you intend to come, it has car details and if driving how many boats you can carry, plus emergency contact details that make it a little easier for the organisers.
What to bring - the usual stuff but not forgetting- Warm paddling kit it could be cold A hot drink is now a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat. Food - high energy food is best (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana etc. are good) Dry warm clothes to get changed into post paddle.
A shovel to dig the car out of snow drift.
