3* Peer Sea-Trip
(What is does this mean ? see- Trip Types )
Organiser: Dave Andrews:
Skill Level: 3* level (if you don't have 3* certificate but think you have the skills, please contact the organiser to discuss).
Date: this is a one day trip and it will be on the Saturday or Sunday -to be decided nearer the time.
What to expect: a return trip on the sea, taking in the scenery, rock-hopping if the opportunity presents itself, a lunch stop on the beach (bring packed lunch) and plenty of time to chatter whilst paddling. Dependent on the group, but usually a couple of hours paddling each way at a reasonable but not fast pace, maybe 20-25km round trip. (All subject to the usual caveats and what the group wants to do on the day....)
Registration: This trip will be organised by email.
Please email the trip organiser if you are interested. (There is no on-line registration).
Age: If under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole trip including on the water, unless the trip organiser has specifically agreed otherwise.
You will be expected to take responsibility for your own kit and general safety.
If you need a club boat
email the quartermaster mailto:email@example.com
You will need to make your own arrangements with a key-holder to get into the club if you don't have keys.
For boats and other kit you will need the keys in the safe. For the safe-code mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
The code changes frequently.
Transport: For environmental and economic reasons we should car share as much as possible. However with sea kayaks only 2 per car is recommended. Actual cost between you and driver/passenger.
