BEGGINERS SEA Trip: Group 1

You must register if you intend to come. Places are limited to ensure a sensible ratio between 3* and less experienced paddlers.

Open to anyone who has passed ITP.  If you are under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult (who also needs to register for the trip). 

No previous sea experience necessary.  This trip will be a good opportunity to try sea kayaking. 

This trip will be led by BCC members who are 3* paddlers.  You are expected to take responsibility for your own kit and general safety.

Kit: Sea kayak, spray deck, paddle, helmet, bouyancy aid.
Wetsuit and cag.  2 sets of warm clothes, one for the boat in a dry bag, one for the car.  Towel.  Suncream.  Hot and cold drinks.  Lunch and snacks.  Change for parking and post paddle coffee.

Transport: We usually share transport.  Petrol and parking costs are shared between driver and passenger.  We usually carry 2 sea kayaks / car.

Weather:  This is a weather dependent trip.  Final confirmation of the trip location and time to meet at the club (likely to be 7.30 a.m.) will be emailed the day before.  There is a possibility of the trip being rescheduled if the weather is unsuitable.
