SEA TRIP: Camping Weekend

You must register if you intend to come

Open to anyone who has passed ITP. No previous sea experience necessary. If under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole trip including on the water.

This trip will be organised by BCC members and there will be some 3* paddlers from BCC present who are willing to lead a small group of less experienced paddlers on the water for at least some of the time. There will also be some 3* peer paddling. You will be expected to take responsibility for your own kit and general safety. See Trip Types

Camping will be on PORTHCLAIS campsite. You need to book direct. Arrive Friday evening to be ready for Saturday morning. Paddle Saturday and Sunday, depart Sunday early evening. Possibility of extending to Friday/Monday if weather looks good.

Transport

For environmental and economic reasons we should car share as much as possible. However with sea kayaks only 2 per car is recommended. Fuel cost usually around £30-£50 per car + parking. Actual cost between you and driver/passenger.

Cost

Hiring a guide is  main cost (c £50) then transport and accommodation plus food & drinks.
