All,
This white water trip could be the Dart Loop or similar. The fishing season kicks off on the 15th March so this will be your last chance to paddle in peace until September - although last summer the only angler we met was in the car park telling us how we would ruin a days fishing - despite not a single angler using the river grrr. Even Canoe England our NGB won't enter into restrictive 'agreements' anymore.
As always it will depend on river levels and the group's experience.
We also need a good number of experienced paddlers.
Meet at the club to leave by 08.00 - even though spring is here...
It's about a 2:15 drive, we probably won't be home much before 19:00.
What to bring - the usual stuff but not forgetting-
Warm paddling kit even though it's in Devon it could be cold
A hot drink is now a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat.
Food - high energy food is best (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana etc. are good)
Transport
Normally we share the cost of the fuel (220+ miles so could be around £30-£50 per car).
