All,
This white water trip could be the Tywi from Rhandirmwyn Bridge down to Dolahirion bridge.
It's a pretty and less paddled river near Llandovery, about 15 miles beyond Sennybridge. It has two easy G3 sections and a sneaky little drop right at the end, but if you get wet it's just 10 metres to the car. So good if you want to re-kick start your white water paddling before the end of the winter season.
As always it will depend on river levels and the group's experience, the a little harder and steep Irfon is just up the road or running into the Tywi (alongside the Senny road) is the tree ridden and grumpy farmer type - Gwydderig
We also need a good number of experienced paddlers.
Meet at the club to leave by 08.00.
It's about a 2:25 drive. With the longish shuttle run on a very narrow tractor filled road we probably won't be home much before 19:00.
What to bring - the usual stuff but not forgetting-
Warm paddling kit, it's Wales and that means cold humbug.
A hot drink is still a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat.
Food - high energy food is best (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana etc. are good)
Transport
Normally we share the cost of the fuel (220+ miles so could be around £30-£50 per car).
