The fifth of a progressive programme of winter white water trips will be on the Dart Loop.
We'll put in at Newbridge and it is almost straight into a longish rapid so good basic ww skills are necessary. Plenty rocks and drops on the trip to avoid. Breaking out skills are essential.

As always we need loads of experienced paddlers/throwlines.

Meet at the club to leave by 08.00 (the early bird gets the best boat and if is your first trip you may find it takes a little longer to get ready) . It's about a 2:30 hour (105 mile) drive plus we need to run a shuttle, be prepared for a few swims and have a good safety margin to ensure we are off the river before it gets dark. We may be home between 16:00 - 19:00.

Please register if you intend to come, it has boat carrying details, plus emergency contact details that make it a little easier for the organisers.

What to bring -

Warm paddling kit, by now you will need a decent cag to keep you warm and dry.

A hot drink will be a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat.

Food - high energy food in a dry bag (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana are good)

Dry warm clothes to get changed into post paddle.

Transport

We share the cost of the fuel (210+ miles so could be around £30-£40 per car) and the parking charges.
