This course is for people new to paddlesports. It takes trainees to a level that enables them to join a range of Bath Canoe Club trips.
On completion of the course, trainees get the British Canoe Union (BCU) 1 Star award.
Course schedule
River sessions every Thursday from 6pm til 9pm.
Dates, 18/8, 25/8, 1/9, 8/9 & 15/9
For the river sessions, you will be expected to arrive at the clubhouse by 6.00 pm in order to be on the water by 6.30 pm. The sessions will finish at about 9.00 pm.
Adults and children (age 8 and over) are welcome.
Children under 14 must be accompanied on the water by an adult.
You will be a club member for the duration of the course but if you wish to continue to be a club member afterwards you will need to join the club and pay the membership fee.
