Trip down the Wye river in canoes and/or kayaks designed for families. Meet up Friday evening (12th) at YHA Wye Valley, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, HR9 6J. You can book a room or camping pitch. Book breakfast and/or evening meal or use the kitchen or cook your own meal on your camping stove. There is also a bar and drying room. We used this hostel last year and it was excellent. You could role up Saturday morning if you like a early start. Note you can only have alcohol if you buy it from the yah bar unless you hide it well as we did last year.

Basically we camp 2 nights Friday and Saturday nights next to the river Wye. Saturday morning travel to Ross on Wye and travel down stream to the hostel. Sunday travel from the hostel to red brook. There is an excellent pub at red brook for a beer or two before heading home.

About a 1.5 hour drive from Bath.

Your are responsible for your own safety! This is a peer paddle. There is no leader, qualified or otherwise.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, remebering that you should be paddling with peers or a similar standard.

Please register if you intend to come as it helps the organiser to know how many to expect. Places are usually restricted to avoid excessively large groups.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you need one, by contacting the quartermaster(s).
