Open to all members, a cycling and canoeing trip using the Two Tunnels cycleway and the Kennet and Avon canal to complete an out and back trip. This is a sedate tour not a race and is suitable for all abilities, providing you can cycle, and families.

The idea is to start from Locksbrook and use the cycleway to go under Bath and then down to the Angelfish cafe at Dundas. After refreshments exchange bikes for boats and canoe along the canal into Bath. Portage the Widcombe flight and use the River Avon to return to Locksbrook.

By using the large trailer we can carry 4 opens and afterward 10 bikes with more on private cars if we wish. If we use private cars and more boats then that will require more cars to meet at the crossover point at Dundas. The original plan is to meet at clubhouse then move to Locksbrook, maybe parking in the Park and Ride at Newbridge before starting the cycle part at the pedestrian bridge over the R Avon opposite the new Lidl store. ( No parking at Lidl !!).

Maps and photos of the route will be available.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable experience ratio amongst participants. If it's full, contact the trip leader to see whether any more places can be made available.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you need one, by contacting the quartermaster(s).
