 Leader: Ashley Matthews
 Trip level:
Improver / Intermediate

Intended as a introduction to expeditioning for those who've not done it before but experienced people are welcome too! We'll probably stay at an easily accessible site on Friday evening, then load up with all of our overnight camping gear, food, clothing and such like and paddle along the coast to an out-of-the-way spot for camping on Saturday, returning (or perhaps not) on Sunday.

You probably don't need to go out and buy much / any special equipment, other than some dry bags, sleeping bag and torch if you don't have them. We can find spaces in tents and share cooking equipment if you want to. We'll run an information session one evening beforehand if there's demand, so please ask if interested.

The exact location and route is in planning and will depend on the weather, but it will most likely be northern Pembrokeshire, Fishguard/Newport or thereabouts.

About a 3 hr 15 min drive from Bath.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable experience ratio amongst participants. If it's full, contact the trip leader to see whether any more places can be made available.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you need one, by contacting the quartermaster(s).
