 Leader: Julian Haines
 Trip level:
Improver / Intermediate

This weekend trip is aimed principally at improver and intermediate level paddlers. Depending on who goes and the weather, we'll attempt to run more than one trip at different levels.

There are a number of possibilities including:
  • Morte Point
  • Baggy Point
  • Ilfracombe / Exmoor
  • Beach surfing at Putsborough / Woolacombe
  • Taw estuary
As always the choice will be weather and group dependent. It's not summer! It's anticipated that there will be both an improver and an intermediate paddle available on Saturday and on Sunday at least an improver-level paddle.

There's accomodation for 9 people at Dyer's Farm on the nights of Fri 15 & Sat 16 Oct at £23.50. You'll need to make payment with registration in order to reserve accomodation. We get a reduced price on the basis you bring your own bedding and towels (s.bag & pillow case) so there is no laundry for them.

Alternatively there are a limited number of spaces available on the trip without accomodation (free). Please choose the right option when registering!

About a 2.5 hour drive from Bath.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable experience ratio amongst participants. If it's full, contact the trip leader to see whether any more places can be made available.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you need one, by contacting the quartermaster(s).
