A local race that is open to all types of craft. Whilst the competition element is suitable for racing K1s and K2s there is a touring craft race for those boats that are not quite so tippy and fast. This is open to competent paddlers from ITP upwards.
You could treat this as a trip and count towards your 2 star if you are a recent ITP graduate.
This is Gloucester Canoe Club's first race and it will be good to support them.
There is an information sheet available and can be sent to paddlers who are interested.
The distances involved are not onerous 4 or 8 miles for the racers and a 2.8 mile course for the tourers. This is less than a trip to Bathampton Mill and back.
The cost is £6 for seniors, £5 for juniors and £4 for all tourers and this includes a post race refreshment.
Races start at 1130 with a Check-in from 0930hrs
Adult competitors in racing Divisions 1 to 9 will be required to show a BCU membership card or buy a Day ticket for £5.
Bath team vests will be available on the day
