Open to anyone who has passed ITP. No previous sea experience necessary. If under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole trip including on the water.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are limited to ensure a sensible ratio between 3* and less experienced paddlers.
Journey distance about 100 miles each way. Approximate journey time 2 hours 30 minutes. A convenient stop for a comfort break is the first service station on the M27 about 60 miles in to the outward journey.
For environmental and economic reasons we should car share as much as possible. However with sea kayaks only 2 per car is recommended. Fuel cost £20-£30 per car + parking (maximum £4 per day depending on launch site). Actual cost between you and driver/passenger.
Other costs
To paddle in Chichester Harbour you require a permit which costs £4 per day and may be obtained from www.conservancy.co.uk/page/harbour-dues-charges/319/
Weather
This is a weather dependent trip. We will do our best to find somewhere sheltered on the day but may have to postpone at short notice (day before) if the weather is not kind.
