A guided trip of about 4 hours paddling plus a lunch break. The trip will be planned for beginners and will be a round trip there and back. Details of the location are weather dependent so will be decided a few days before (probably on the Thursday).
You must be 16 years or older. If under 18 you must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the whole trip including on the water.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are limited to ensure a sensible ratio between 3* and less experienced paddlers.
This trip will be led by two BCC members who are 3* paddlers, but you will be expected to take responsibility for your own kit and general safety. See

Meet at the club in time to load boats etc and leave by 08.00
It usually takes the best part of 2 hours to drive to the sea from Bath.

Transport
Cars with roof racks are often in short supply so please offer if you have one. Usually only 2 sea boats fit on a car.
You will need 2 straps to tie each boat on. Don't expect someone else to bring them for you.
You will need to organise your own lifts once you know who is going.
For environmental and economic reasons we should car share as much as possible. However with sea kayaks only 2 per car is recommended. Fuel cost usually around £30-£50 per car + parking. Actual cost between you and driver/passenger.
Weather
This is a weather dependent trip. We will do our best to find somewhere sheltered on the day but may have to postpone at short notice (day before) if the weather is not kind.
