This week’s (8th March) white water trip could be the last on the Loop as the fishing season starts soon. For those who paddled it in November/Jan it'll be an opportunity to see how well you've improved? It could be cold/warm/dry/wet. We'll unlock the club by 07:30 to leave before 08.00 - as we are bound to try and get two runs in.
On average it's about a 2:15 drive. Short walkable shuttle! We probably be home before 19:00.
Please register if you intend to come, it has car details and if driving how many boats you can carry, plus emergency contact details that make it a little easier for the organisers.
What to bring - the usual stuff but not forgetting- Warm paddling kit it could be cold A hot drink is now a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat. Food - high energy food is best (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana etc. are good) Dry warm clothes to get changed into post paddle.
A cake and candles, it's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to.
Transport We share the cost of the fuel (220+ miles so could be around £30-£50 per car). Organiser TBC
